This is my old USA Cold Steel Hunter. I got it for my 14th birthday, its been in my camping bag ever since, been on alot of trips. Its been a good one, holds an edge, full tang, thick enough to pry open almost anything. The blade has become discolored over the years, but never tried to rust on me.
This is my KABAR, It was my Secret Santa gift last year at our office party...Its a really cool knife, seems well made, but just sits in the safe with the guns..Dont really have much use for it.
Thanks for sharing those...and most of all the stories that go with them..thats the best part...The antler handle is beautiful....I'm not too proud of this one..but a rule on Thurs nights is NO STORE BOUGHT KNIVES. So i made this in my Brothers garage out of an old pc of steel he had laying around. It's sharp, cuts good...all i can say , is im going to try and make a better one later......LOL. The sheath at one time was very nice, and has held up well. My Sister-inlaw works with leather, and she made it for me.
I'm starting to get into some of that. My buddy that does such a god job on the sheaths and handles wants me to make him some blades to do up. I've got one cut out and looking steel for another.
OH! Get this! I have another buddy of mine who is an authentic black smith. He's got a horse drawn forge that he takes to events.(he's a reenactor also, just not with my regiment) But you wouldn't believe the stuff he can make out of old hammer heads, rail road spikes and old tool steel. He even does forge welding. He's a true artist with steel.
I wish we had events like that around here. Those people are really gifted craftsmen...The only time i have watched a Blacksmith work was at Dollywood.......And im not sure how "authentic" that was...but i could watch that kind of stuff for hours....
I'm not sure what this one is...it has no markings..I picked it up at a yard sale for $6.00. It's razor sharp, full tang, and seems well built. I just keep it in the door pocket of my old truck..
This is an older (USA) Schrade. National park service 75th Anniversary Edition. I bought it off Ebay as a Christmas present for a guy i was dating a few yrs ago. He didnt make it much past Thanksgiving.....LOL. So i guess i bought myself a nice knife......
This is a Marbles "Doctors Knife" I guess the theory is that the old time doctors would crush up / mix drugs with the flat blade. The Marbles knife company was at one time a high quality USA brand...Mine is ching-chong, but it does have very nice bone handles on it.
My BUCK 110, I think everybody either has, or has had one of these....standard issue to all Americans,,,,LOL. I keep mine in my desk at the office. Its my letter opener / box opener / etc.
My BUCK 285...This is a workhorse..I use it all the time at the gun shop to open shipments / stock ammo / trim member badges / etc. I paid $26.99 for it about 9months ago, and i cant believe how well it holds an edge. Have not had to sharpen it yet, and its still very sharp. And its one of the few BUCK knives still made in the USofA....
This one is a FROST knife, from JAPAN, they were quality knives back then....They are now China junk.. I picked this one up at a gun show for $12. I just liked the shape of it, and the purdee wood on the handles.....
These are both "electrician's" knives...The one on the left is a 1970s Sears knife, The one on the right is a German knife made in the 1960s. When i see these, i pick them up. I have several other ones that are well worn..
And i do work at the range sometimes....but no $$$$....They give me free range time and ammo...lol. And will usually sell me any gun i want at their cost, unless its something hard to get.
This is one i picked up at a gun show last summer. It has no markings on it anywhere, so i dont know where its from, or what brand it is. But its very heavy (1/4in full tang) and very sharp. I just really liked the cool wood on the handles, and the heft of it.. ?
What do you do for a living? Once before you said something about having to go sell a house and I thought you were in real estate. But now it sounds more like you work at a sporting goods store.
I know you got lots of cool guns and a bucket full of knives and you drive a Chevy pick up, I'm guessing.
Do you hunt any?

Ha...Ha... I'm a Realtor..I work for one of the busiest brokers in my area. I do have an old Dodge truck that gets used to clean out bank repo's. But i drive a Caddy escalade most of the time......

This is a switchblade..Made in Italy...Very sharp, and well built.

CASE sodbuster. I picked this little guy up at a yard sale. It's used, but seems like it would be a good solid EDC knife.
